Both currently positioned in the mid-table, Nantes and Nice are neither this season’s top dogs nor minnows. However, their yo-yo performances can plausibly put them in any of these situations.

Les Canaris debuted in the season with a clean sheet triumph over newly promoted side, Lens. They then followed this up with a 1-1 draw with another returning squad, Metz. By their third Ligue 1 stint, however, Nantes incurred a lousy 0-1 home beating from last season’s runners up, Monaco. But this was later turned around with a breezy comeback they onbtained at the expense of Montpellier. In their most recent top-flight fixture, Michel Der Zakarian’s men suffered a second league loss to Lille but their pain felt more brutal as they conceded two goals but did not score any. Regardless, there is still a magnificent chance to retaliate in their subsequent matches especially that their resilience is among the strongest in the competition.

After three league weeks of winless encounters, Nice have finally doubled their Ligue 1 win following a 1-0 thumping of newly promoted squad Metz.  A very sturdy defense kept Les Aiglons free of any goal deficit for the full 90 minutes, but their opponents also succeeded in doing the same as they both held each other in a deadlock at full-time. The final result ultimately boiled down in the stoppage time when Alexy Bosetti goal in the 95th minute decided the fate of the meeting. Nice earned all the spoils and that helped them jump five places into the 11th spot of the team rankings.

Online betting tip: Nantes and Nice will be rendered even from this face-off.
