They typically play in their best form during home matches, but their defeat from Lyon 1-3 broke their seemingly clean home record this season. Their goal-less draw with Montpellier (their most recent Ligue 1 match) also did very little to turn the disaster around. These inconsistencies might just be short-lived, but they are clear warnings that the side should not be complacent in their matches—even inside their own stadium.

Currently ranked at number 13, I Turchini only obtained two points from their last five French top-flight matches. By overall Math, they have two dozens of points to cherish, but have several goals to pull off as they are faced with a negative-digit goal difference.

Sliding three places off the top five, Bordeaux felt the consequence that their loss to Toulouse has caused them. Although their current league position is not yet something to cause panic, it is a leaving them enough spaces to think over their recent performances and plan rather more carefully to prevent them from going back to the relegation zone (which they did twice this season).

Overall measurements indicate Les Girondins to be among the most resilient and most improved clubs this season. They debuted in the tournament very badly, incurring an upset that tainted their hope for a massive opener. A few more defeats were incurred following their curtain raiser, but since week nine, they have started making an impression on their supporters and critics alike—at least for the most parts.

Football betting tip: Although Bordeaux are technically the dominant club in this match over Bastia, a deadlock is likely to seal the results. The home side will be very determined to regain their traction at home, but the visitors will also do their best to not let another match rip them off of three points.
