While they may have pulled off a win in the Europa League against PAOK, Guingamp are far from the heroic players they project when it comes to Ligue 1. The side spent the past several weeks of the French top-tier league as the tournament’s least impressive teams. Currently positioned at the foot of the table, they have been beaten six times in eight appearances. Thankfully, they did not end all those fixtures with zero points as they managed to win against Bordeaux and Lens.

For the past five weeks, Nantes have already bagged eight points with four goals netted. This translates into two wins, two draws, and one defeat. They rank ninth in the league table: one point clear of Lyon but seven points behind the league leaders, Marseille. They are also one of the only two teams in the competition to have a goal difference of zero, the other being St.-Etienne.

Online betting tip: Nantes will be able to add three points to their score sheet by beating Guingamp.

Paris Saint Germain vs. Monaco

Match Date: 06 October 2014 (local)

Match Venue: Parc des Princes

PSG and Monaco both dwindled in their ranks as compared to the last season, the only difference is that the hosts have remained a title chaser while the gusts have been in the relegation zone twice. PSG are unbeaten since the season kicked off but they have been spared from the table’s summit due to their form being dominated by draws. Monaco, in comparison, have spent their last five league matches with mixed reception from their supporters. Their wins against Guingamp and Montpellier were sources of joy while their losses to Lyon and Nice were heavily panned. The sides are currently eight places apart: Les Rouge-et-Bleu in the fourth spot and Les Rouges et Blancs in the 12th.

Football betting tip: PSG will dominate over Monaco.
