Zurich and Borussia M’gladbach both rank in the current rankings of their respective domestic leagues. The Swiss side are only two points behind the league leaders while the German squad have also posted the same shortage.

In spite of a very entertaining display against Apollon, Zurich still failed to earn all the spoils against their rivals in the Group round of the Europa League. The side scored twice: Avi Rikan netted a goal in the 50th minute before it was doubled by Gilles Yapi-Yago in the 53rd. However, Apollon have already scored the same number of goals even before Zurich did and when Philuppe Koch wrongly struck a goal to his team’s own late in the meeting, the match ended with the Swiss players incurring the downfall.

M’gladbach have spent their five most recent battles without completely losing all the points. They have won thrice and forced a draw twice from this streak, with their most notable result being the 4-1 home victory at Schalke 04 in Bundesliga. At the Europa League, however, the side were held by Villarreal in a 1-1 deadlock, with Partrick Hermann’s opener having been successfully equalized by Ikechukwu Uche.

Europa League betting tip: Zürich and Mönchengladbach will deliver a stunning stalemate.
