By overall results, Wales and Cyprus have had almost equal records in their past few matches. Each side has won twice from their last four battles, although Wales have scored slightly more goals.

Wales made a magnificent debut in the Euro qualifications with a 1-2 away victory against Andorra. This was later followed by a goalless draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina. Although not necessarily a bad result, it was a major disappointment for all those who rooted for the Welsh players. The defense was brilliant but it was in the attack that the side lacked a significant support. There were some chances created but none was successfully converted.

Form-wise, the result serves as their third non-consecutive draw in their past seven matches, with the rest of the streak comprised of three wins and one defeat. By goal count, they have already scored eight goals from the same slate.

Cyprus’ form in the past few years is far from being attractive. Most of their battles went into shambles, although a select few were notable successes. As for the new edition of the Euro Championship qualifications, Cyprus had a mix of impressive and disappointing stunts. They were winners against Bosnia-Herzegovina in their debut campaign, but were rendered losers in their second battle, this time against Israel. For the latter, only Constantinos Makrides scored for Cyprus, while two players from Israel successfully converted chances.

Football betting tip: Cyprus will succumb to Wales.
