Russia and Moldova’s last meeting resulted in the former winning all the spoils via clean sheet. The Russian squad have a relatively impressive form while the Moldovans seem to be lacking in enough faculty to capitalize harder on their attack.

Generally speaking, the Russians are one of the strongest sides in Europe and their recent results in various competitions are proof to their caliber. While they missed an opportunity to get through the finals of the last World Cup, their record in other international competitions cannot be ignored. None of their most recent friendlies ended in a defeat and their 4-0 home rout at Liechtenstein in the opening matches of the Euro 2016 qualifications is enough of a testament of their strength as a football powerhouse. They rank high internationally in various footballing metrics and have gained a growing number of supporters every passing year.

Moldova, as a separate football team from the former Soviet Union, have yet to make an appearance both in the World Cup and the Euro championships. This alone is indicative of the side’s lackluster abilities at making correct maneuvers and decisions, made even more obvious by their current form. At the opening of the Euro 2016 qualifications, they conceded two goals to Montenegro and eventually lost. Prior to this, they were also beaten by Cameroon and Ukraine in friendlies.

Football betting tip: Russia will earn all the marbles from Moldova.
