Spain- Diego Costa

Match Date: 12 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Josy Barthel

Back-to-back champion and online betting favorite, Spain will strengthen its European campaign via securing a well-deserved win against a determined Luxembourg.

Spain’s lackluster performance during the World Cup casted doubts among its legion of supporters and followers. Many argue that the Spanish dominance has already come to an end. But La Roja is keen on proving otherwise.

The contenders

Lars Gerson readily made an impression during the squad’s match against Belarus. He gave the squad  the edge against their opponent. Unfortunately, their anticipated win turned out to be an illusion since Belarus snatched an equalizer.

Indeed, it was a disappointing and frustrating result. Nevertheless, there was nothing to be ashamed of since the stalemate generated a point instead of leaving the club with a clean sheet.

Spain sought its first attempt to redemption when it thrashed Macedonia with a massive 5-1 win.

The said victory was instrumental in giving the squad a renewed confidence after its early exit in Brazil. With Spain’s failed to attempt to protect its World Cup title, the squad will now turn its attention to the European Championship.

In the upcoming match, expect a more aggressive and determined Spain.

Possible head turners

Diego Costa will certainly take this opportunity to feature and make an impression. In the recently concluded World Cup, Costa’s unfit condition prevented him from unleashing the scoring beast in him. But the talismanic striker is determined to make things different in this upcoming match.
