Week highlights

Amidst injury concerns, the defending champion and online betting, Bayern Munich delivered a well-deserved victory this week. Pitted against VfB Stuttgart, the online betting favorite nailed a 2-0 win despite Arjen Robben’s absence due to an injury. With the said triumph, the Bavarians had moved closer to the top spot. It can be remembered that the draw that it incurred against Schalke 04 forced the incumbent champion to settle in the 2nd spot of the top-flight league.
Also making waves last week was Borussia Dortmund. Indeed,  the return of playmaker Shinji Kagawa returned the Borussian’s grit on the pitch. The match against Freiburg also witnessed the rise of Adrian Ramos and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen was with withheld by Werder Bremen last week. The encounter ended in an even steven stalemate, which prevented increasing their lead against the Bavarians.

The effect of Bayer’s draw resulted to a triple tie between them , Bayern and surprisingly, Hannover 96. These squads are competing for the top spot of the table with 7 points each.

Scene-stealers

Two Shinjis stole the show last week. It was Dortmund’s Kagawa and Mainz 05’s Shinji Okazaki. Okazaki spearheaded Mainz’s attack, whilst the playmaker Kagawa did not only create scoring opportunities. He also scored in Dortmund’s last encounter.

The blunders

Schalke is back to a slow start this season. It can be remembered that this has been their previous dilemma too and it seemed like the club is repeating history.

What to expect

The Bavarians are expected to show the ruthlessness that is known for. With Franck Ribery’s return and hopefully, Arjen Robben, many look forward to its unprecedented rise again.
