Alessandro Diamanti’s current test results rule him out for a possible fracture that may end his international stint and appearance at the upcoming Confederations Cup.

A recent encounter against Genoa almost destroyed Diamant’s hope of representing his country in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Enis Naderevic accidentally trampled on Diamanti’s arm after a nasty fall.

Diamanti was immediately taken to the hospital after the said incident.

Fortunately for Bologna’s forward, the X-ray simply showed nothing but a sprain and a bruise.

Diamanti’s international career began when he joined the Italian squad in a friendly against Romania. During the quarter-final in the EURO 2012 against England, Diamanti secured the winning penalty for Italy. His appearance in the Confederations Cup, will determine his another World Cup participation.

The Confederations Cup is said to be the preview of World Cup. Given the stature and honor that it embodies, there’s no doubt why Diamanti clamors over fracture issues. But fortunately for Diamanti, looks like he will be a familiar face in the most celebrated football event.
