Match Venue: Parc des Princes

Paris Saint-Germain

The Round of 16 will always be a stellar show for the colliding forces of Europe’s best rated clubs, and PSG are certainly part of that list. The French league leaders are among the most consistent clubs in the competition this season, owing significantly on a massive defense and a clinical attack. In fact, of the seven matches they engaged in this term, only one went off-key while the rest were all considerable sources of points.

PSG would strive in the highest levels they could in order to reach the finals. Their campaign last season was quite frustrating after they were eliminated by Barcelona only via the away goal rule and got locked in the quarter finals. This year, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic reaching the near-summit of the charts, a much better finish is on track.

Bayer Leverkusen

Leverkusen’s reputation as “losers” might extend this season both in Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. The side have narrowly missed several championships in the past years and have always been chasing breathlessly for other trophies—but all attempts failed. Their current form is not reassuring either as they were largely unsuccessful in obtaining all possible points from their last five matches (in all ompetitions).

Leverkusen, while placed third in the current German top-flight table, are among the less favored teams in the Champions League’s Round of 16. Their Group A campaigns was moderately impressive, although they still managed to rake the second spot behind Manchester United who finished four points ahead of the Sami Hyypiä side.

Online betting tip: In the first leg of their battle, PSG and Leverkusen settled on a four-goal clean sheet in favor of the French squad. For the second leg, expect the same side winning all the spoils.
