Real Madrid’s recent form has put them to ups and downs, making their future performances quite unpredictable in a not-so-good way. By contrast, Basel are growing some confidence with the four victories they achieved from their last five matches.

Real Madrid

The defending champions and perennial favorites in almost every competition they join, Real Madrid will have an exciting—albeit, considerably tough—campaign to overcome. Their win from last season was not very easy and with their past few matches showing low optimism, this season might prove to be more challenging. Los Blancos have so far only recorded two triumphs from their last night matches, with notable defeats from Manchester United in the International Champions Cup 3-1 and Real Sociedad in La Liga 4-2. There is definitely something wrong with squad, and it should be put at bay as soon as possible to avoid worse dilemmas in the future.

Basel finished third in the Group round of last season’s Champions League and were therefore eliminated from the tournament. They, however, successfully made some impressive stunts in the Europa League and ultimately secured a quarter-final finish, having defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv and Salzburg but succumbed to Valencia. As for their most recent performances, Bebbi have won in 11 of their last 14 matches, with notable victories from Luzern, Zurich, and Italien.

Champions League betting tip: In spite of their rough runs in the past weeks, Real Madrid will pull this tourney off and trounce Basel.
